The parts were marked using a 10-watt q-switched ytterbium fiber laser with a 160 mm focal length lens. The parts were surface annealed, to remove the black paint and create contrasting marks. The parts were marked at a frequency of 20kHz and a speed of 10 inches per second, using approximately 3 watts of power, resulting in a cycle time of 1.15 seconds.
