Laser Marking on Carbide Steel

Carbide steel, often found in the tooling industry, is a very common cutting material used with drill bits, saw blades, lathe bits, router bits and other tools.

Our fiber laser material processing systems have shown incredible aptitude and reliability in the tooling industry. A process similar to surface etching stainless steel is used to lightly etch carbide steel, which leaves an excellent, high-contrast mark on this material.
