History

Laser Photonics is a division of Fonon Technology, the world-renowned inventor and manufacturer of equipment based on Zero Width Laser Cutting Technology™ (ZWLCT™) for semiconductor and flat panel display industries. Fonon Technology was established in 1991 by a group of high-level engineers as a result of research and development in three major worldwide patented technologies in the hi-tech industry: Zero Width Laser Cutting Technology™ (ZWLCT™), Solid State Lapping™ (SSL™), and Quartz Laser Welding Technology™ (QLWT™). When CEO Demitri Nikitin acquired Fonon Technology the company was largely R&D with a solid scientific background and innovative process capabilities. Demitri Nikitin utilized this to acquire Laser Photonics as a manufacturer of full line commercial, industrial, laser and abrasive products.

Laser Photonics holds several worldwide licenses and patents for innovative and ‘unique to the industry’ laser products and technologies. Laser Photonics has developed proven technology which resulted in licenses to numerous world-renown companies, such as Schott, Mitsuboshi, Accudyne, Peter Walters, Jenoptik, PPG, Bosch, Gables, Champion Aerospace, Metaldyne, Dupont and Heraeus.
