Both samples were marked using a Fiber Laser Marking system with a laser at 9 Watts and frequency of 25kHz. Sample 1 – Aluminum was marked at a rate of 50 inches per second, for a cycle time of 2.05 seconds. Sample 2 – Anodized Aluminum was marked at a rate of 20 inches per second, with a final cycle time of 1.08 seconds. Sample 1 – Aluminum was marked with a bold font, as the narrow font used on Sample 2 – Anodized Aluminum was not visible when marked on Sample 1.
